  1. In the first stanza, there are repeated sounds like “th” at the first word of the line, so it makes some kind of rhythm. In the third stanza there are other repeated word like “so”, which makes the poem sound more soft and warm. Compared to the first and third stanza, there is not a significant rhythm or sound in the second one.
  2. The writer eats other’s plums which were saved for breakfast by someone else. So he described the taste of the plum which were delicious, sweet, and cold. After eating sweet plums, the writer feels guilty of eating other’s and asking for his forgiveness.
  3. It would be a warm sunny day, writer went to picnic with her friend. While her friend went somewhere else for awhile, the writer opened her icebox and saw the red plums inside. Since the plums were so red and looked delicious, he couldn’t be patient and ate all of them.
