1. Who am I? Who is your character?

I am a night woman who lives in Haiti. I became a night woman after losing my husband. I am about 25 years old, and I live in a poor neighborhood. I have a son who goes to elementary school. My son does not know that I am a night woman, and I don’t want to tell him about my job until he notices by himself, because I want to protect his innocence

2. What time is it?

There are day and night. During day, she stays at home and takes care of her son whereas she works as a nightwoman and welcomes clients during midnight.

3. Where am I?

I live in Haiti and I live in a poor neighborhood since I can not afford expensive house. I live in one small room with my son, and the room is divided into two by a curtain locating between me and my son.

4. What surrounds me? What is happening in the environment around you?

The weather is mostly sunny. There are lot of hills and nature around my area.

5. What are the given circumstances?

The Guy’s death is important since it is the reason why I become a night woman. Since I am the only one who can support the family, I decide to be a night woman and I won’t tell this to my son since I want to protect my son from this harsh reality. But later, son will notice by himself that her mom works at night.

6. What are my relationships?

I used to have a husband until he commited suicide, and now I have one son. I don’t socialize that much because there are not a lot of women who want to be close with me. I have some clients who bring me flowers at work nights.

7. What do I want? What do you want immediately? What does the character want overall?

I want money, and my son’s successful future. These two are the only things I want. I want my son to avoid poverty and live happily. I want money which is the only thing can make my life so much better than now.  

8. What is in my way? What are the obstacles to getting what you want?

First of all, I don’t have a husband, so I should take his responsibility as well and work twice more. Also night woman is not a proper job to earn money, so I should hide my identity from my son, therefore he won’t feel embarrassed.

9. What do I do to get what I want? What actions do you take (both physically and verbally)? What tactics?

I decorate myself at midnight to become as a night woman, and I work hard at night. I further lie to my son and tell him to go sleep earlier to prevent him knowing the truth. I tell him the angel visits him during night to prevent him staying up late.
