MLML in class writing

In the book My love My love, Desiree is a peasant girl who is kind of special in different way. She's kind of an outsider, and dreamer who is largely affected by god and religion. If I have to stage MLML, as the author highlighted nature, flowers in the first chapter, I would like to decorate the stage with a lot of natural elements such as flowers, grasses, and trees. I would also like to costume Desiree with an old bohemian style of dress to make her looking like a peasant. I think it's important to costume all the peasants with similar looking of clothings to show they belong to the same group, peasants, who are supposed to be poor. It would be nicer if the clothings are ripped and dirty in order to show peasant's poverty life.  To make show her as a more like a special person who dreams a lot, Desiree may wear bracelets or necklace which are hand made with flowers and grasses.
Desiree had a connection with her mom, Mama E, and I can show their strong connection to audience by costuming them wearing the same looking dresses or bracelets that Desiree may made it for her mom. If she made a special bracelet or necklace for her mom, it could symbolize the love and link between two characters. Also to represent the segragation between the rich and poor groups, we can costume them differently with using different props, makeup style.
