Class activity -Romeo and Juliet

Yesterday during the class, we had 3 groups who played Romeo and Juliet with the different time limits which were 1 minute 30 seconds, and 2 minites. After I watched whole plays from 3 groups, I felt the most importanat themes of the Romeo and Juliet were love versus death, and conflict between the families. Some groups emphasized love and marriage between the Romeo and Juliet while other group focused on more revealing the death of Romeo, Juliet, and Paris. Additionally, all groups' perspective toward the marriage and love were differnt; for example, our group spent half of the play to reveal Romeo and Juliet's first meeting in the party, Romeo's proposal to Juliet, and the marriage. On the other hand, other group put short time on showing their love, but more focused on the conflict between Paris and Romeo, and the process of their death. The mood and atmosphere were also all different from 3 groups; my group's performance was kind of comedic while other groups' acts were more serious and fast with fast deployment.
