Important events and character analysis (TGM)

Tom:

He conflicts with Amanda everytime

He hates working in the warehouse, and he hates his life

He gives up his dream, being a writer, because he has to earn money

Goes to movie every night since he likes adventure

Amanda asks Tom to introduce a worker in warehouse to Laura

Tom brings Jim, Tom does not know that Jim is engaged with another woman

After Jim leaves, the biggest conflict occurs between Amanda and Tom

Tom leaves St. Louis

He misses Laura

Amanda:

She had a privileged childhood, she got a lot of gentlemen callers

She moves to St.Louis after getting married

Her husband leaves home, and she becomes hopeless

She hopes Laura to get married, and to have someone to take care of her

She asks Tom to find gentlemen caller for Laura, so Tom asks Jim to come dinner

She wears yellow dress while welcoming Jim to home

She fights with Tom after Jim leaves, and she gets mad about the fact that Tom invites Jim  who already has a fiance.

Laura:

She had pleurosis which  crippled her leg

She meet a boy called Jim who called Laura as a Bluerose, she fell in love but never approached him

She fails attending business school

She has no job and usually stays in home

She meets Jim in the dinner; they talk, and share kiss

But later, Laura knows that Jim is engaged with another woman called Betty, so she gets disappointed

She gives her favorite unicorn glasses to Jim, remaining something that can be remembered as her
