Me and Jacob were currently working on blocking, and adding some different colors of lighting and background music. We added some lights like blue and red color to highlight the important character of the scene, and to create different mood of each scenes. Additionally we worked on adding more background music to set the mood of the scene. For example, the Lalaland background music really helped on our scene to be more romantic. Therefore, we decided to put other song to set the climax, or monologue scene more dramatic, and we added a scary and dark feeling of music on Jacob’s monologue scene where he finds out that his mom and the visited guest are dancing around the home. The music will definitely set the environment more dramatic and set tension among the characters, especially between Jacob and me. From now on, we should probably more work on memorizing lines. Because we didn’t fully memorize it, we had some difficulties while going over the rehearsal. Reading the lines on the phone disrupted us to be more emotional and expressing characters. However after fully knowing all the lines, we only can focus on blocking and acting so it would be more helpful for both of me and Jacob. From this week, we may work hard on memorizing and putting more emotions on the lines; I think our performance would get much more improved if the lines have more emotions in it.
